Theological and Missional Statement  

The Beach Lake United Methodist congregation welcomes all in proclaiming God's grace and love in Jesus Christ. Characterized by its evangelical thrust, missional outreach, educational ministry, ecumenical commitment and spiritual diversity; B.L.U.M.C. seeks to offer a wide variety of growth opportunities for every age group and interest. In this information and innovative technological age of the 21 st century where many live in a rapidly changing, transient culture, facing at times the loss of identity, with a host of daily challenges, our congregation offers a spiritual home of prayer, worship, acceptance, encouragement and stability.      As a United Methodist Church our theology is grounded in the Scriptures of Old and New Testaments and developed by the experiences of our faith; our history and traditions as United Methodists, as well as the heritage of the whole Church universal; and the God given reasoning abilities we have been blessed with. Our missional statement includes: being faithful in reaching out and inviting persons into fellowship and church life; leading persons into deeper relationship and experience of God and neighbor; nurturing people to be disciples of Jesus Christ and sending disciples outward into mission and ministry.      There are no perfect people in our church and we have no superstars. We do have precious people from many walks of life who are experiencing the freeing grace of God, the healing forgiveness of Jesus Christ and the transforming power of neighborly love.
