Youth Fellowship
![]() PLEASE SUPPORT OUR YOUTH UMYF NEWS: Hello all! This year is wrapping up
quite nicely for our youth. Here is what is coming up for the end of
2007 and beginning of 2008 and some other notes sprinkled throughout.
Our youth group went to Youth Alive at Camp Ladore in Waymart on
November 9th and 10th. We had a really great time! Special thanks to the
Sunday School for helping to pay for us! It was well worth it. On Sunday, November 18th, the
youth had their annual soup and roll dinner. This important fundraiser
made over $400 for the youth group, counting button sales! Thanks to all
who attended and made all of those great soups. They were delicious! On Saturday, December 1st, the
youth is going to gather along with the congregation and our new friends
at the Laotian church. We are excited about meeting new people and
expanding our horizons! A short youth meeting will immediately follow. The youth are talking about going
Christmas caroling to nursing homes across our area this month. More
details to come! On Saturday, December 15th, the
Santa’s Elves for Parents Day Out will take place after Kids Christmas
Fun Day! This new event will be a babysitting service running from 11 AM
(Immediately after the fun day) until 3 PM. The cost is $15 per child,
and then $5 for each additional child of that family. We will be feeding
the kids lunch. This is a new fundraiser for the youth and it hopefully
be successful, but only with your help! On Sunday, January 13th, the
youth will be holding a talent show! There will soon be a sign-up sheet
in the back of the sanctuary for anyone interested. More details to
come! As always, we welcome all new members to
the youth group with open arms. If you have any questions regarding
youth group, please do not hesitate to contact me at yayducks921@hotmail.com. We also
have information posted on our website, freewebs.com/blumcyouth. Have a
great month! God
bless, Danielle
